Babettes Cafe, Atlanta, Georgia Comfortable cafe, slightly French, reasonably priced Romantic restored home with delightful yellow walls and a beautiful second story patio in the back, Babettes Cafe has been popular for years and has wonderful food. The owner is also the chef - Marla Adams - and she has created a menu where every single thing is worth ordering. The Sunday brunch is especially good (and especially packed). Beautiful omelettes, great steamed mussels, wonderful grilled corn chowder with crab. Their specialty is bivalves (like mussels). Babbettes Cafe has a great wine list which is reasonably priced, available by the glass to encourage sampling. The most popular item on the menu is grilled lamb chops with red-wine reduction. There are prix-fixe dinners and a wonderful re-mounting of Babette's feast each New Years. Babette's Cafe is named after the book "Babette's Feast". Restaurant reservations Lunch and dinner are very popular, and restaurant reservations are highly recommended.
