The super-hip, playful, sleek, and flashy Twist
Restaurant in Atlanta has a sister restaurant, the Shout,
and is located in Midtown
in the Phipps Plaza. It has glass wood and light and looks
almost like a nightclub. The bar area is absolutely huge (great happy
hours) and the dining room seats a full 300 guests. The patio holds
another 75 people, plus their is a satay station, ,and you can get tapas,
sushi, and seafood. Very loud, but in a fun way, the Twist attracts
lots of 20-somethings.
The lighting at the Twist Restaurant in Atlanta is colorful and dramatic and the food is inventive and keeps changing. Especially recommended is the Moromi Miso Salmon fillet and the Calamari Sharing Salad with frisee, cashews, radicchio, hearts of palm and bananas in a vinaigrette of citrus. The salads can come in individually sized portions, too. Other items include sashimi pizza, shrimp dumplings, and chicken empanandas. Great desserts include the vanilla-flecked panna cotta with a side of fresh berries. The wine list isn't huge but is very nice. The bar needs special attention - it's a great mix of lighted glass, dark wood walls, and sleek metal tables. Everyone there seems beautiful, with lots Versace and Armani. Even on weekdays, the bar is hopping till late at night. Restaurant reservations Lunch and dinner are very popular, and restaurant reservations are highly recommended. |
